Geelong defender Jed Bews and midfielder Cooper Stephens have agreed to new contracts with the Cats.
Bews has signed on for another three years and Stephens has extended his contract by two years.
Bews, 27, has played 117 games since debuting in 2014, helping the Cats to five finals campaigns, and has established himself as a regular contributor in Geelong’s defence.
Stephens, 20, was the Cats’ first selection in the 2019 national draft, but injuries and the COVID-impacted 2020 season have limited his opportunities to date, according to the club.
“Both Jed and Cooper are highly valued players and we are pleased to have them locked away with new contracts,” Geelong Cats football general manager Simon Lloyd said.
“They play the game the right way, they are highly committed and diligent in their approach to being AFL footballers.
“We look forward to Jed and Cooper being significant contributors in the upcoming seasons.”
