Geelong’s first skyscraper is set to tower over Mercer Street, a councillor has revealed to the Independent.

Stretch Kontelj said the 15-storey building would hold serviced apartments, restaurants and cafes.

Patrick O’Callaghan has added The Milk List resource at localfoodloop.com to identify the products of dairies that are struggling to compete against supermarket-brand prices as low as $1 a litre – less than most bottled water.

Five Geelong councillors will attend a community forum to hear the questions the public were not allowed to ask at last week’s council meeting regarding library services.

Mayor Trent Sullivan and Crs Melissa Cadwell, Eddy Kontelj, Jim Mason and Ron Nelson will engage with the community on Saturday, June 3, at 10am at the public event at Geelong West Town Hall.
