Rollover cleared but delays still ahead

Authorities have cleared a car-rollover that created traffic chaos for drivers heading out of Melbourne toward Geelong.

But motorists should still consider their plans for peak hour on the Princes Freeway this afternoon, VicRoads said.

“All lanes have been re-opened on the Princes Freeway outbound in Altona North following an earlier rollover near the M80 Ring Road,” VicRoads said in an updated report shortly before 4pm today.

“Drivers should plan ahead for the afternoon peak and allow extra time significant congestion remains on the West Gate Freeway and M80 Ring Road.

“VicRoads thanks drivers for their patience and safe driving during the disruption.”
