Two teens speeding at 200km/h in a 100km/h zone in a car allegedly stolen in an aggravated burglary ran afoul of police on Tuesday night.

Police arrested a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old Corio boy after sighting a black Holden Trax speeding at up to 200km/h along the Princes Highway about midnight.

The car was allegedly stolen during an aggravated burglary at an address on Amarina Crescent, Grovedale, on Saturday, police said.

A police helicopter tracked the car and officers on the ground arrested the pair when the vehicle came to a stop on the Princes Highway in Norlane.

The pair remained in custody on Wednesday morning, and the police investigation is ongoing.

Police urged anyone who witnessed the Holden Trax travelling in the Geelong area or who has dashcam footage to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
