Police search for missing 13-year-old

The disappearance of 13-year-old from Whittington almost a fortnight ago has prompted police to call for public help to find him.

Tyson Maynard was last seen in Whittington about 2.30pm on October 19.

Police and family hold concern for Tyson’s welfare due to his age.

Tyson is known to frequent Whittington, Norlane, Corio and Lara, according to police.

Investigators described him as about 165cm tall with a slim build and red hair, and said he was last seen wearing green shorts and a grey jumper.

Police on Tuesday morning released an image of Tyson in hope someone recognised him and could provide information on his whereabouts.

They urged anyone who sees Tyson or with information to phone Geelong Police Station on 5225 3100.
