Spur-of-the-moment ticket yields Super 66 division one prize

A Geelong man has admitted he spent yesterday pacing up and down the house coming to terms with his shock Super 66 division one win.

The Victorian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Super 66 draw 4425 on Saturday 16 December 2023. He pocketed $170,930.00.

The stunned winner shared it had been a spur-of-the-moment decision to grab a Super 66 ticket.

His winning 21-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

“I couldn’t believe it!” the man exclaimed when speaking to an official from The Lott.

“I saw it come up on my online account. I thought, ‘that’s a bit strange’.

“I saw a win and then… holy sh**!

“I had no idea. I’ve been pacing up and down the house all day as I can’t believe it.

“The funny thing is I’ve always liked Super 66 and I have had some small wins with it, but it’s not a game I normally play.

“I was a bit down on Friday night and just thought I’d put a ticket on. It was all very random. I just thought, ‘bugger it, I’ll get a ticket’. I’m glad I did. It’s come at the perfect time.

“I’m going to do the sensible thing and invest it. It will be a great way to start 2024!”

The man’s winning 21-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Super 66 draw 4425 on Saturday 16 December 2023 were 9, 5, 7, 1, 2 and 3.
