Pups in market for home

Adorable pups Oatmeal and Cody are heading down the highway to Geelong tomorrow in their search for a ‘fur-ever’ home.

At just nine-weeks-old, border collie-kelpie cross Oatmeal is already full of beans and needs an active family to keep up with his quick mind and busy body.

This sweet little fella is looking for a big backyard to play in, a warm bed inside and lots of time inside and out with his favourite people.

Ten-month-old terrier blend Cody loves other dogs but is a little timid meeting new people.

He is looking for a family who will take him on plenty of adventures and allow him inside for cuddles.

The cute pair, and their canine comrades, will meet and greet locals in a combined market and pet adoption drive at Geelong Conference Centre tomorrow.

The event, hosted in collaboration with Piccadilly Market, will feature dozens of Geelong businesses selling last-minute Christmas gifts for loved ones and furry friends alike.

Locals can find wreath-making workshops, graphic designers, antique elixirs and mixers, accessories, ceramics, towels, children’s and baby’s products and more among the stalls at Eastern Park.

Coffee and drinks will also be available, along with artisan pooch treats for dog-owners or the lucky attendees who meet a new furry friend in time for Christmas.

Pets Haven, based in Woodend, will bring their friendly orphaned and homeless animals down to Geelong for the market to find them new loving homes.

For information search ‘Geelong pet adoption’ at www.eventbrite.com.au.
