Two people have been arrested after a stash of drugs and cash was located in a Geelong shopping centre carpark.
Police were called to the Malop Street centre after security reported an allegedly stolen vehicle at around 6.30pm on August 15.
A man and woman who arrived in the vehicle were arrested as they left a store inside the centre with allegedly stolen clothing.
A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, with police locating over $100,000 in cash as well as drugs, including what is alleged to be a commercial quantity of heroin and methamphetamine.
A 47-year-old Maidstone man has been charged with possession of a commercial quantity of methamphetamine and was remanded to appear in Geelong Magistrates’ Court on August 18.
A 34-year-old Corio woman was released pending further enquiries.
