River levels fall further

The Barwon River at Geelong was at 2.78 metres and falling at 3pm today.

There is still a minor flood warning in place for the river downstream from Inverleigh and downstream of Geelong.

The Moorabool River at Batesford Bridge was at 2.60 metres at 3pm.

The Barwon River at Geelong is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.30 metres) overnight Monday into Tuesday

Parts of Greater Geelong are still under a ‘watch and act’ direction from the SES as the Barwon, Moorabool and Leigh Rivers remain flooded.

A number of roads remain closed including around South Geelong, Breakwater, Highton, Armstrong Creek, Freshwater Creek and Mount Duneed. Check traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au for more information.
