Man charged after Norlane stabbing

A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man and barricading himself in a house in Norlane.

Police responded to the incident at Karrin Court about 6pm on Monday, April 15, which saw another male taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said it was believed that the two parties may be known to each other, and the arrested man was expected to appear before the Geelong Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

“A 42-year-old Norlane man has been charged with aggravated burglary with a weapon and intentionally cause injury,” they said.

“Officers on-scene negotiated with a man inside a premises, until forcing entry to the property and making an arrest about 11.30pm.”

A Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics were also called to incident.

“A man in his 40s with upper body injuries was transported by road to Geelong University Hospital,” they said.
