A prison stabbing in Lara today has left an inmate fighting for life.
“Geelong Crime Investigation Unit are investigating an assault at a correctional facility in Lara today,” Victoria Police spokesperson Sergeant Madeline Gillard said.
“It is believed one inmate assaulted another around 1pm. A 47-year-old man was stabbed several times and has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
