Four new kindergartens will open their doors across Greater Geelong for Term 1 of the new school year.

Parents can now submit expressions of interests for Grovedale’s Marshalltown Road Kindergarten, Belmont’s Oberon Kindergarten, and Armstrong Creek’s Biyala Primary School Kindergarten and Biyala Community Hub Kindergarten.

KU Children’s Services will operate the two Armstrong Creek kindergartens, while Gowrie Victoria will deliver services at the Grovedale and Belmont locations.

“We’re thrilled to bring KU’s high-quality early childhood education to Armstrong Creek in partnership with the Biyala Primary School Kindergarten and Biyala Community Hub,” KU Children’s Services chief executive Christine Legg said.

“We look forward to building strong, lasting relationships with the children, families, and community in Geelong,” Gowrie Victoria chief executive Karen Weston said.

Greater Geelong mayor Stretch Kontelj said he encouraged families to “quickly register their interest to secure their child’s spot”.

“Well done to KU Children’s Services and Gowrie Victoria for being selected to run these four kindergartens,” he said.

“We’re proud to partner with KU Children’s Services and Gowrie Victoria to deliver more conveniently located kindergarten options for our growing population.

“Both are known as leading not-for-profit early learning providers and are well placed to deliver high-quality, play-based early learning in line with the state’s Best Start, Best Life reforms.”

Expressions of interest can be submitted to ku.com.au/childcare-centres/geelong/biyala-community-armstrong-creek for the Armstrong Creek kindergartens or at geelong.link/KindergartenRegistrations for the Grovedale and Belmont locations.
