Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal collision in Bellbrae on Wednesday, May 11.
Investigators have been told a truck and two cars collided at the intersection of Moores Road and Anglesea Road about 5.30pm.
The passenger of one of the vehicles, a woman believed in her 60s, died at the scene.
The driver of the car, also a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the other car involved, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck is assisting police with their enquiries.
Police said investigators were yet to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
