Geelong family dead following collision

Three members of a Geelong family, including a three-year-old boy, have died following a collision this morning.

Emergency services were called to a collision between a truck and car in Stoneleigh, at the intersection of Eurambeen-Streatham and Mount William roads, shortly after 9.30am on 11 November.

The car was driven by a Geelong family, with a 41-year-old male, 31-year-old female and 3-year-old boy dead at the scene.

Another adult female was trapped in the vehicle and airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The area was blocked off while police and emergency service personnel responded to the scene.

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries and has been cooperative with police.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with dashcam vision is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au
