All southbound lanes of the Geelong Ring Road are closed at the Colac Road exit following a serious collision.
The Department of Transport said northbound lanes remained open.
Motorists can exit the Geelong Ring Road at Colac Road and re-enter the freeway at the Colac Road Roundabout.
Alternatively, the Princes Highway through Geelong offers a delay free run.
The closure is under the control of Victoria Police.
All lanes will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.
