Community Satisfaction Survey is coming to Surf Coast

The Surf Coast Shire community are being asked to prepare for a potential phone call as the council undertakes its 2024 Community Satisfaction Survey (CSS).

Resident and non-resident ratepayers could receive a call in February from the National Field Services, an Australian call centre, to provide insight into the community’s views on the council.

Councillor Rose Hodge said 600 people will be interviewed on the council’s services, which is expected to take a month.

“The Surf Coast Shire Council opts into taking part in the survey each year so we can get an honest gage on community views,” she said.

“The results let us know what’s working well and help guide service improvements, so it’s a great opportunity for people to provide feedback.”

The CSS is commissioned by the state government, which is opted in by local governments across Victoria yearly and completed over the telephone.

The survey will cover the themes of value for money in services and infrastructure, community consultation and engagement, decisions made in the interest of the community, customer service, local infrastructure, facilities, services, and overall council direction.

The CSS is in its 25th year of providing insight into how Surf Coast Shire Council compares to other local governments across the state.

Survey results are expected to be shared in June, and people can visit surfcoast.vic.gov.au/request or speak with the Coordinator of Customer Experience at 5261 0600 for more information.
