Delays following North Shore incident

Coaches are replacing trains between Geelong and Lara after a vehicle hit a level crossing boom arm in North Shore.

Department of Transport and Planning issued the alert at 4.47pm today (Tuesday, June 10), with delays expected for people travelling along the Geelong Line.

Services will continue to run between Southern Cross and Lara, but delays are expected, and trains will resume on the remainder of the line once repairs are completed and it is safe to do so.

Passengers are asked to check station platform displays and the V/Line website for updates and to allow extra time for their journey.

The exact details of the incident involving the vehicle and boom arm are currently unknown.
