It’s Our Backyard

Street performers and buskers are adding colour and excitement to six new locations across Geelong for the It’s Our Backyard program.

Council yesterday expanded the program to include performances on Pakington Street, Newtown, High Street, Belmont, Belle Vue Avenue, Highton, The Centreway, Lara, The Terrace, Ocean Grove and Eastern Beach Road, central Geelong.

Osborne House extension

Council has granted a 12-day extension for submissions to restore and redevelop the 163-year-old Osborne House due to Victoria’s recent COVID-19 lockdown.

Expressions of interest will now remain open at geelongaustralia.com.au/tenders until 2pm on June 16, according to the council webpage.
