Police car rammed in Newcomb

Geelong police are appealing for public assistance after an unmarked police car was rammed in Newcomb on 31 March.

Police attempted to intercept a white Toyota Corolla with three male occupants and cloned plates on Bellarine Highway about 2.20am.

It is believed the vehicle reversed and crashed into the police car four times before driving off along Coppards Road.

It is believed the theft of petrol at Rockbank about 7.30am on 1 April may be linked to the ramming.

Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
