Geelong 17-year-old faces murder charge

A 17-year-old Bell Post Hill boy faces a murder charge following the death of Jason Langhans after an incident southeast of Melbourne in March.

Homicide Squad detectives charged the teen with one count of murder today and he is scheduled to appear before a children’s court this afternoon.

Police have interviewed two other males who they later released without charge.

The charge follows an incident in Tooradin on March 21 where Jason Langhans, 17, was allegedly assaulted at a party on Station Road.

He died at The Alfred Hospital on April 10.
