Man facing attempted armed robbery charges out on bail

A Bell Park man facing attempted armed robbery charges will front court again in July after being granted bail yesterday.

Armed Crime Squad detectives arrested and charged the 30-year-old man yesterday following an alleged attempted armed robbery in Bell Park on February 21.

The incident occurred at a sporting club on Separation Street just after 12.30am, police said.

The man appeared at Geelong Magistrates Court yesterday and was bailed by the court.

He is due to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on July 10 for a committal mention hearing.
