Portarlington’s miniature railway has temporarily suspended its service until further notice due to the evolving COVID-19 situation.

Railway vice-president Brian Coleman said it was a hard decision to make but the railway wanted to ensure the safety of its visitors and volunteers.

“The decision to temporarily close was a very hard decision for our railway to make, however the health and safety of our visitors and volunteers is paramount,” he said.

“Without our volunteers there would not be a miniature railway and we encourage all of our members to continue to support us through this very difficult time.”
