Lease approved

The City of Greater Geelong Council has approved the granting of a long-term lease for the development of social housing at 116–120 Purnell Road, Corio.

The land will be leased to a Registered Housing Association for the development and ongoing management of social housing, with a lease term of up to 50 years.

Business fest on again

Greater Geelong’s small business community will take centre stage when the Geelong Small Business Festival returns from Monday 4 August to Friday 15 August 2025.

Delivered in partnership with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, the festival is a flagship event celebrating local enterprise, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and now is the time for aspiring hosts to get involved.

Chorale turns 75

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, local choir The Geelong Chorale presents a selection of cherished repertoire from the archives.

The anniversary concert features an eclectic mix of soul-stirring musical gems with madrigals, sacred music, opera choruses, art songs, folk songs, spirituals, jazz and contemporary pieces at All Saints’ in Newtown.
