The search for a missing toddler came to a tragic end in Lara last night after he was found unconscious in a nearby dam.
Police were called to a Lara address at close to 5.20pm on Tuesday, June 4, when the little boy was reported missing by his family.
The surrounding area was searched with the assistance of the police Air Wing, with the boy located unconscious in a dam off Windermere Road.
Police performed CPR on the young boy until ambulance crews arrived, but he could not be revived. A report will be prepared for the Coroner following the death.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
