Waurn Ponds lotto winner $2.5 million richer

A lucky Geelong person is $2.5 million richer this morning after winning a share of last night’s OzLotto jackpot.

The person, who bought their ticket at Town and Country Lotto in Waurn Ponds, was part of a 10-person syndicate that was one of two winners of the $50 million jackpot.

The syndicate, which included people from Melbourne, Shepparton and the Yarra Valley, also won division two seven times and division seven 14 times, boosting its windfall to $25,131,059.25.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said some syndicate members had yet to realise they were now multi-millionaires.

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries to their player cards, there are some syndicate members who hold unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group,” she said.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the recent Oz Lotto draw, I can think of millions of reasons to check it as soon as possible.

“If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1446 on Tuesday were 38, 25, 31, 1, 23, 8 and 4, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 44.

Across Australia, there were two division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1446 – one entry each from Queensland and Victoria.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 391 so far this calendar year.

In the last financial year, there were 23 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia which won more than $283.12 million.

During this time, the biggest Oz Lotto jackpot was $50 million, which was won by a North Sydney woman in July 2020.
