Man dies following weekend crash

A man has died following a crash in Norlane over the weekend, with Police investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

Emergency services were called to Barcelona Street at about 4.50am on 1 February after reports that a motorcycle had crashed into a parked car.

The male rider, who is yet to be formally identified, was treated at the scene but unfortunately died.

The incident brings the state’s current provisional lives lost tally to 22 deaths on roads this year, as of noon on 2 February.
