Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Drysdale Recreation Reserve as part of an election promise to upgrade the reserve’s netball courts.

Many classic vehicles rolled out to Eastern Park on 6 April for All Ford Day, with people flocking to the region for a festival of all things Ford.

Leopold Fire Brigade’s Kate Conway received a National Emergency Medal for her service to the community during the 2019-2020 bushfires.

People gathered for marches and services across the Greater Geelong region for Anzac Day, with a special mention of WWII veteran Roy Porter who turned 100 earlier in the month.

Ten local athletes travelled to Perth for the Australian Athletics National Championships from April 5 to 13.
