A spate of “homemade explosive devices” damaging letterboxes and telephone booths around Geelong has prompted police to seek help from the public.
Investigators want tip-offs about “at least two offenders” believed responsible for the spate of explosions.
The devices has been exploding around the city over the past three months, police posted on social media today.
“Investigators believe at least two offenders are responsible for a number of incidents where letterboxes and telephone booths have been damaged by homemade explosive devices.
“The incidents have occurred at night or in the early hours of the morning and investigators believe the offenders may be using illegal fireworks to cause the damage.”
Police asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to submit a confidential crime report to crimestoppersvic.com.au
