Fifteen candidates including six incumbent councillors will contest Surf Coast Shire council elections.
Mayor Dean Webster and councillors Rose Hodge, Ron Humphrey, Jim Tutt, Libby Mears and Lindsay Schroeter have nominated for re-election.
Former mayors Keith Grossman, of Torquay, and Anglesea’s Beth Davidson have joined councillor Roly Livingstone in failing to nominate.
Other candidates include former councillor John Foss, Anglesea business operator Gary Kerr, Airey’s Inlet solicitor Simon Northeast, policeman Brian McKiterick and Torquay Senior Citizens Centre’s Elizabeth Wapshot, who had a recent run-in with council over plans to redevelop her group’s building.
