Windy on a Thursdy

Strong winds whipped up quite a chop on the bay this Thursday morning, straining the yachts at their Western Beach moorings.

The windy day had flags and signs flapping wildly in the 36 km/h winds, with gusts up to 55 km/h.

The Geelong Weather forecast said rain would develop later in the day – bound to turn into driving rain with winds as strong as these.
