Half-a-million dollars rounds off a nice morning

A Torquay man will have a sharp eye on the housing market after winning more than half a million dollars over the weekend.
The overjoyed man said he was having a great Monday morning, which prompted him to check his ticket at the newsagent.
“Ah beauty!” the man exclaimed when TattsLotto confirmed his $509,614.77 division one windfall.
“A few things went well for me this morning so I thought I better go check my TattsLotto. This has topped it all off for sure!”
The man was looking forward to doing “some serious house-hunting.”
“I might be able to get my house early now,” he said.
“I’m living in a unit but it’s just too small for us now and so I’ve been looking for something bigger for over a year now, but money has always been a big consideration.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning entry from Anglesea News and Lotto in Anglesea.
Shop owner Paul Nigro was thrilled to have sold his first division one winning ticket since buying the outlet in late 2015.
“This is great news!” Mr Nigro said.
“We were so delighted when we discovered we’d sold a division one prize.”
“We want to send a big congratulations to our first division one winning customer.
“It’s great news and has been well received in the local community – in fact it’s been the talk of the town.”
