Portarlington locals find missing woman with dog

By PAUL MILLAR

POLICE have located a missing visitor from Malta after a massive search around the Portarlington area.
THE police dog squad, airwing and State Emergency Service volunteers scanned and doorknocked the area after the 46-year-old woman went missing.
Salvina Buttigieg arrived in Victoria last Monday and was staying with a friend at his home on Point Richards Rd.
She had left the residence yesterday about 9.30am to take a dog for a walk and was not seen again until this afternoon.
Residents found Ms Buttigieg and the Pomeranian at St Leonards’ boat ramp soon before 2pm, police said.
Paramedics were checking her condition but police believed she was well.
