Geelong Highway Patrol impounded a man’s car after catching him drink-driving and speeding at Marshall Monday afternoon.
Police detected the Ford sedan travelling at 105km/h in a 60km/h speed zone along Barwon Heads Road, about 1.45pm.
They stopped and breath-tested the driver, a 44-year-old Barwon Heads man, who returned a reading of 0.180 per cent.
The man’s licence was immediately suspended and his car was impounded.
He will have to pay $972 in towing and storage costs to get his car back, police said.
Police expect to charge the man on summons with drink-driving and speeding.
