‘Gorgeous’ duo to entertain at Lyons’ 50th

A “GORGEOUSLY talented” pair of violinists will headline Geelong Mayor Darryn Lyons’ 50th birthday party.
Cr Lyons announced today that duo Cooper + Hoo would entertain guests at “one the biggest parties Geelong has ever seen”.
He said a “who’s who” of celebrities, business figures and other high-profile friends would attend the party at his Home House nightclub on 21 August.
“It will be a massive circus spectacular with acrobats, fire eaters, contortionists … you name it,” Cr Lyons said.
“Think Moulin Rouge meets Cirque de Soleil and then throw in a bit of me for a subtle touch.”
Cr Lyons was excited about former state and national orchestra members Sally Cooper and Airlie Koo entertaining his guests.
“Cooper + Koo are gorgeously talented women and seriously talented violinists. I’m delighted that they’ve agreed to help me celebrate this major milestone.”
Cr Lyons said he would host invited guests before throwing his party open to the public.
“Later in the evening I’m inviting all of Geelong in to join the party and also enjoy the spectacular entertainment. We’re definitely going to have some fun.”
