Service of choice wins monthly Shop Local award

CABINETMAKERS Choice is “simply the best” for customer service, according to Belmont’s Jon Symes.
His praise has earned the Grovedale business a Shop Local Geelong Customer Service Award.
“Directors Nigel and Chris offer simply the best in customer service to the industry as well as the mum-and-dad market due to their wealth of cabinetry knowledge,” Mr Symes wrote in his nomination.
“Their willingness to listen and respond to all the challenges of their customers’ needs and tailored recommendations make the experience a pleasure.”
Cabinetmakers Choice supplies cabinetry products to building trades customers and do-it-yourself home renovators.
Geelong’s new deputy mayor, Cr Bruce Harwood, presented the May Shop Local award to Nigel Robinson and Chris Adamko this week.
Mr Robinson was rapt to win.
“That’s fantastic,” he said when notified.
“Most of our customers are tradies, who aren’t usually the sort of people to write award nominations, although we get a lot of DIY customers as well.”
The monthly customer service award is part of the Shop Local Geelong campaign, an Independent initiative encouraging shoppers to spend locally rather than online or out of town.
The award recognises local businesses for excellence in customer service.
City of Greater Geelong and the city’s chamber of commerce are supporters of the Shop Local campaign.
Shoppers wanting to nominate businesses should write in 50 words or less why they deserve to win and send nominations to: Shop Local Geelong, PO Box 407, Geelong, 3220; email editorial@geelongindependent.com.au, or fax 5249 6799.
