Boy, 5, rams mum in car mishap

A FIVE-year boy has rammed his mother with a car in a Torquay driveway accident, according to paramedics and witnesses.
Paramedics said the 35-year-old woman suffered a broken wrist and facial injuries in the accident in Island Drive about 4pm Monday.
An ambulance took the woman to Geelong Hospital for treatment.
A witness said the car wedged the woman against a garage door until frantic neighbours released her.
The accident left the woman distraught and bloodied, the witness said.
“The five-year-old boy went to get into the car while his mother was saying goodbye to a friend. He got into the driver’s seat, hit the accelerator and crushed her up against the garage door.
“She was screaming and the child was crying. There was blood everywhere.
“It was pretty intense.”
