Don’t miss this shifting heart

Fans of local theatre have one day left to attend the latest production of one of the city’s longest-serving production troupes.
Geelong Repertory Theatre Company will conclude its 10-date season of The Shifting Heart this Saturday after a penultimate show tonight.
Geelong Rep’s second for the year, the show opened on 15 April to play over three weeks.
The theatre company said The Shifting Heart combines historical aspects with contemporary themes.
“Written in 1957 by Richard Beynon, it is an insight to the psychology of racism and its victims in the background of 1950s Collingwood, Melbourne,” the Rep said.
“A popular Australian drama play studied in schools, (it’s) close to 60 years old but with issues that are sadly still relevant today.”
The Rep said Judy Ellis was directing a cast featuring Phillip Besancon, Theresa Lewis, Tom Bartle, Ivana Hudlow, Dan Eastwood, Sarah Quirk, Steve Howell and Nick Frcek.
The production winds up tonight and tomorrow at Woodbin Theatre, Coronation Street Geelong West. Both shows begin 7.30pm.
The Rep said tickets were available through Geelong Performing Arts Centre.
