Police hunt Waurn Ponds flasher

POLICE want public assistance after a man flashed a female staff member at a Waurn Ponds clothing store.

They say the alleged wilful and obscene exposure took place around 5.25pm April 20 at the Factorie store within the Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre.

The alleged flasher, described as of Indian descent, was trying on clothing when he opened the door of a change room and exposed his genitals to the female staff member.

The man left the store without buying anything.

The male also attend the shopping centre’s Target store, where he was said by police to be “acting suspicious and trying on further clothing”.

He was followed by security and was last seen walking up South Valley Road.

Police released an image of a man they said would be able to assist them with “valuable information’.

Information should be forwarded back to Senior Constable Ryan McHutchison at Waurn Ponds uniform police on 5247 3500 or to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
