A 71-YEAR-OLD East Geelong man will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on 12 December over historic sexual assault charges.
Police have charged the former Catholic priest with 15 counts of indecent assault and one of buggery.
The Independent understands the man was previously a member of City of Greater Geelong’s disability access committee.
He was also the secretary of the Geelong branch of an organisation for blind citizens, although the roles are not believed to be related to the charges.
