FESTIVE spirit is continuing to spread through the shop windows of central Geelong.
Even emtpy shopfronts are adding seasonal decorations with a little help from TAFE students as the Central Geelong Christmas Windows Competition lifts a gear in the city.
The competition carries a $1000 advertising package from the Geelong Independent as a weekly prize for the window with the most likes on the Indy’s Facebook page.
Last week’s inaugural winner was Moorabool St’s Pivot Stove & Heating.
The competition will conclude before Christmas when Mayor Darryn Lyons chooses an overall winner to receive a $2500 advertising package from the Independent.
Retailers and shoppers can alert the Independent to worthy entrants by emailing editorial@geelongindependent.com.au, messaging at facebook.com/GeelongIndependent.com.au or tweeting to @GeelongIndy.
Two new entries will appear on the Indy’s Facebook page today.
