GOLFERS have only a few days left to enter a golf day supporting the region’s peak rehabilitation and aged care facility.
Organisers have extended McKellar Centre Charity Golf Day entries to midday Thursday, 4 April, to allow for the Easter break.
Visiting holidaymakers are invited to play in the Ambrose event, beginning 8am Friday, 5 April at 13th Beach golf course.
This year’s event will help the centre buy portable equipment for diagnosing balance problems, allowing clinicians to overcome the limited mobility of many patients.
Sponsors have put up a range of exciting prizes and charity auction items for the day, with the winners taking home a selection of leading electrical products from Harvey Norman Waurn Ponds.
A Queensland holiday, a professional photography package and other enticing items are also up for grabs.
Players will enjoy on-course catering and a two-course luncheon in the 13th clubhouse after play.
Sport broadcaster Rob Gaylard will be MC on the day, interviewing identities such as Mayor Keith Fagg and international paparazzi figure Darryn Lyons.
Entries of one, two or three players are welcome and will be arranged into teams of four.
An entry form can be downloaded at geelong.starcommunity.com.au/18th-annual-mckellar-centre-charity-golf-day.
Entry forms and more information are also available by phoning Tony Galpin on 0417 059 281 or emailing tony.galpin@geelongindependent.com.au.
