Chip in for McKellar Centre, golfers urged

GOLFERS will tee off for the region’s peak rehabilitation and aged care facility at Barwon Heads in March.
Organisers said 13th Beach would host the 19th annual McKellar Centre Charity Golf Day on Friday 21 March.
The event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, helping the centre, part of Barwon Health, pay for vital equipment and facilities.
Teams of two or four players will contest the ambrose competition, with entries $155 a head.
Play concludes with lunch and fundraising activities in the 13th Beach clubhouse. On-course catering is also included.
The organisers said entries were available by phoning Barwon Health Foundation on 4215 8906 or emailing nikki.lenaghan@barwonhealth.cog.au.
The Independent is a sponsor of the McKellar Centre Charity Golf Day.
