Police investigate Newtown death

POLICE are investigating the death of a 60-year-old Newtown man who died in hospital last night.
Detectives have been told that a relative attended the man’s West Fyans Street home on Saturday about 1.45pm and found the man unconscious.
The man was conveyed to hospital but passed away about 9.30pm on Sunday.
Detectives from Geelong Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death to determine whether it is suspicious.
A post mortem will be conducted today.
