Shop Local customer service award rings the Belles

The service at Wedding Belles was out of the box for Highton’s Grace Rogers.
In fact, the store’s effort to provide her with just the right jewellery box was worthy of a Shop Local Geelong Customer Service Award, Ms Rogers decided.
Ms Rogers wrote in her successful award nomination how she bought the box at the central Geelong invitations and giftware store but still needed a nameplate.
“Cena (the store manager) escorted me to the engraver in Market Square to select the right plate to fit the box,” Ms Rogers wrote.
“When the plate was ready Cena stuck it on an also wrapped it in birthday paper. She also gave me a discount.
“That is what I call real service.”
Wedding Belles co-owners Cena Dimitrovski and Kalina Dimovski received the June Shop Local Customer Service Award this week.
“That’s great,” Ms Dimitrovski said.
“We try to give the best service wen can but don’t always get feedback, so it’s wonderful to be recognised.”
The award is part of the Shop Local Geelong campaign, an Independent initiative to encourage shopping locally rather than online our out of town.
The monthly award acknowledges businesses providing excellence in customer service.
Nominations should say in 50 words or less why a business deserves to win and include the sender’s name, address and phone number.
Send nominations to: Shop Local Geelong award, PO Box 507, Geelong, 3220; email editorial@geelongindependent.com.au; fax 5249 6799.
