Charges over house crash that left baby facing death

A GROVEDALE man has been charged by police following a collision in Breakwater last month which left a four-month-old baby girl with life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the car the man was allegedly driving left the road and crashed into a house on Fellmongers Road on 19 April about 8.30pm.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged a 20-year-old man with negligently causing serious injury, drug driving and other traffic offences.

He was bailed by police to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
