Burglaries galore across Geelong

POLICE have issued an extensive list of burglaries committed across Geelong in the past two weeks.

Residential offences included the following.

• Corio, Colorado Dr between 16 and 25 May: offenders entered premises by unknown means and removed firearms from bedroom area.
• Curlewis, Jetty Rd between 18 and 25 May: offenders forced lock to a garage and entered. Unknown if anything was removed as yet.
• Norlane, Alkira Ave between 21 and 25 May: offenders entered premises by kicking in a front door. Offenders removed various items.
• Barwon Heads, Sheepwash Rd Sunday afternoon: offenders entered garage area and removed power tools.
• Leopold, Moss Rd overnight Sunday to Monday: offenders entered garden shed and removed pushbike.
• Belmont, Francis St overnight Sunday: offenders entered premises and removed car keys. They then unsuccessfully attempted to remove vehicle but would not start due to interlock device fitted.
• Belmont, The Avenue overnight Sunday: offenders entered office area of premises and removed various items.
• Herne Hill, Bakewell St daylight Monday:  offenders entered premises via unlocked window and ransacked premises. Offenders removed various personal items.
• Clifton Springs, Springs St 3.55am Tuesday:  offenders were heard opening roller door to garage and removing unregistered trail bike from garage.
• Belmont, Oxford St 3am Monday: offenders entered front door of premises where they were alerted by occupants and decamped. Nil entry. Attempted burglary
• Breakwater, Currier St overnight Sunday: offenders entered premises via unlocked front door and removed cash from purse. Persons present at the time of incident and reported as an aggravated burglary – persons present.

Non-residential burglaries included the following.

• Geelong, Lt Ryrie St overnight Monday: offenders smashed front glass door and removed various items.

• Belmont,Thomson St, 2.30am Tuesday: offenders entered unlocked premises and removed charity cash tin.
• Geelong West, Pakington St, 3.45am Tuesday: offenders used shopping trolley to ram glass door and removed till and cash tray.
• Geelong, Bellarine St, 4.50am Tuesday: offenders entered premises via side window. Audible alarm sounded and nil stolen.

Theft of motor vehicle

• Corio, 1DL7ER 1992 Holden Commodore Sedan Blue – outstanding

Theft from motor vehicle

• Eight reports overnight with Belmont (4), Geelong South, Newtown, Herne Hill and Geelong West.
