Furthermore, Josh is back again

Queensland singer-songwriter Josh Rennie-Hynes will bring the eclectic sounds of his new album Furthermore to the Bellarine next Thursday.
Rennie-Hynes only recently broke into the Australian folk scene with his debut album in February 2014.
“It’s all been a crazy the last few years,” he told the Indy this week. “It’s been non-stop travelling and playing music.“
Recently, he has been touring Australia and New Zealand with the album, which he released in August.
“I’ve had a few tours of the States as well,” he said, “it’s all been a very surreal experience.”
Rennie-Hynes returned to his family farm in Woodford in late 2015 and recorded, produced and co-engineered 11 songs for his new album.
He worked from morning to midnight each day with friend and fellow indie artist Steve Grady.
“We basically holed up for three weeks and punched the whole thing out,” he said.
“It’s definitely a more organic feeling this one.”
Rennie-Hynes grew up to the sounds of Springsteen, Tom Petty and Paul Kelly on his parents’ stereo at their 20-acre farm.
“They listened to a lot of country and folk,” he said.
“There was no lack of inspiration that’s for sure. It was a good place to grow up.”
“But I can’t go past the first one who made me start writing: Ryan Adams,” (not to be confused with Bryan Adams).
It’s the second time at the Harvester Moon for Rennie-Hynes, who will play there next Thursday, 1 December.
“I’m looking forward to it. It was a really good listening audience.
“It’s beautiful and you’ve got some cool venues.”
