Corio man Nick Cross faces several charges after he allegedly threatened people with a gun and led police on car chase through northern Geelong.
Police alleged the 30-year-old father of three threatened people known to him with a firearm before leaving in a car from McClelland Street.
He allegedly struck three stationary vehicles and committed a number of traffic offences during the pursuit.
Police deployed stop sticks and Mr Cross dumped the car in a reserve near Landale Court before fleeing on foot.
Officers deployed OC spray when they arrested him a short time later on Kingsley Drive.
Mr Cross appeared in Geelong Magistrates’ Court Tuesday after spending Monday night in hospital under police guard.
He was remanded to appear before court on 14 November on charges of assault with weapon, driving while disqualified, speeding, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and traffic offences.
