Buckets and Bouquets

BUCKETS to Sun Lover (Buckets & Bouquets, 17 October). Didn’t you notice I said daylight savings was not shift worker-friendly? You obviously need more time inside to read the newspaper correctly. Why not read it after dinner instead of walking so you don’t misinterpret what others have written?
Julie, Norlane

BOUQUETS to all the volunteers who look after Kevin Kirby Reserve. The park looks fabulous and the constant maintenance of the barbecue is well done by all.
Resident, Herne Hill

BOUQUETS to G&M Plumbing’s Ross, Joel and Dave for their job on our shower recess. We highly recommend them for any plumbing work.
Happy Customer, Norlane

BOUQUETS to the customers, mums, dads and children who supported the Lucky Dip Clown at Royal Geelong Show over the years. You helped me raise quite a lot of money for Hamlyn Parks Lions Club for local charities. This year was my last but I leave with fond memories.
Lucky Dip Clown, Geelong West

BOUQUETS to Bluebird Foundation for presenting an event suitable for both Geelong Seniors Festival and Children’s Week. I will take my grandchildren to Let’s Play Up to enjoy the old-fashioned games together. Kids these days spend far too much time on their electronic devices.
You’re Never Too Old, Newtown

BUCKETS to the owner of a dog that left an incredibly large pile of poo on a Torquay pedestrian bridge. At least I hope it was a dog. How incredibly selfish. It’s not like you could have missed your pet in the act this time.
Disgusted, Torquay

BUCKETS to Bad Trading (Buckets & Bouquets, 17 October). It wasn’t the Cats’ fault Allen Christensen left for unspecified “personal reasons”. The lack of fight to keep him indicated the Cats were happy for him to leave, too. Mitch Clark and Rhys Stanley are just what the Cats need.
Cats Fan, Corio

BOUQUETS to the ABC for its Four Corners program on ice addiction. This is why we need the ABC. As a senior, I had heard a lot about ice but to see its impact on users was a real eye-opener. Parents, please educate your children on the dangers of ice.
Concerned Senior, Highton
