Woolly pompoms flock to a record

THE NATIONAL Wool Museum’s friend Shaun the Sheep is hoping to bale up people for its Guinness World Record attempt.
The project wants to muster the world’s largest flock of hand-made pompom sheep.
“Pompom Parade Australia is shear madness,” said National Wool Museum director Padraic Fisher.
“Anyone, any age or ability, one person or a whole group, everyone across Australia, can be part of this Guinness World Record breaking project.”
Ballarat’s Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka (MADE) has spun into the project as an official PomPom Parade partner.
Keen shepherds can make one or more pompom sheep and drop them off at the National Wool Museum or the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka between 10am and 5pm, seven days a week.
The pompom sheep will be on display at the NWM until 11 October.
